For this presentation I combined ceramic sculptures and stuff I found around the studio building. Stuff like rotten wooden pallets and car tires. I see them as symbols of production and transport and continuation. They symbolize the idea that we can organize everything into lasting systems but my general feeling is that those systems of production fail. That in the end everything will vanish and that they represent an illusion.
All bodies go to the humus layer. Nothing will remain in its current form. Rotting pallets and car tires give me a negative feeling. Decay and the temporality of things is hard to accept, but seeing them as a part of the bigger cycle of life, as part of nature, is hopeful.
