wall-sculpture 2006

What is the meaning of life? We all think once in a while about what the use is of this all. The idea that there is no meaning is unbearable for the most of us. This doesn't count only for life in general but also for any singular action we undertake.
Jan Bokma wanted to be more acceptive towards the concept meaninglessness. That is why he created Meaninglessness. The wall sculpture has a size of 330 x 176 x 18 centimetres and is made out of construction foam. It depicts meaninglessness as a liberating, positive and above all, a natural phenomenon.
